Thunder Bay Media is an SEO copywriting and content production/marketing agency.  We ask all out clients to review and accept the terms and conditions listed here before agreeing to work with us on any project.

Rates and Fees

Costs upon completion can include addition charges depending on the needs of the project at hand.  Should any variation occur in billing, it will be noted with the standard itemized invoice listing each charge line by line with the clients quote and work agreement.

In the event of unexpected charges during a project, we will consult the client on such charges that exceed the quoted price.  In some instances, advance payment may be required to cover additional services

Deadlines

While we make every attempt to close our projects on time, if not early, the client understands that they may be required to furnish additional information for content-specific topics.  Client acknowledges that any failure to respond to requests pertaining to their project in a timely manner may result in an extension of the deadline

Should there be some unforeseen incident that makes it impossible for Thunder Bay Media to complete the clients project, we will make all possible effort to notify the client as soon as possible. We may also request extensions to the deadline or refer the client to an trusted alternative service provider.  In any case where Thunder Bay Media is unable to meet the pre-selected deadline and the client denies extensions then a refund may be issued minus the cost of any work completed to that point not inclusive of the 50% non-refundable service fee made at the start of the project.

Should a client cancel a project for any reason, Thunder Bay Media will retain the entire deposit

Thunder Bay Media retains the right to assess and manage project disruptions on a case-by-case basis. The terms outlined within this site provide a simple guide as to what a client may expect in the case of unforeseen circumstances.

Payment Policy

  • Preferred method of payment is through credit card (we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express)
  • We also accept payment via check, MO and PayPal.
  • Unless otherwise specified, all projects require a 50% deposit paid in advance.  This deposit must be paid before work will begin.  International clients are required to pay projects in full before work can begin unless otherwise agreed upon
  • Project work does not begin until a deposit is received in full and any holds placed on those funds (such as through PayPal) are released.
  • Project deposits are non-refundable.
  • All quotes, contracts, and invoices are sent and processed via e-mail. A client may request these items in print.
  • Payment is due immediately on completion of draft copy for any content unless other recurring billing methods are established for services.
  • Payment is required whether the copy is utilized or not.
  • Payment for projects and services is NOT contingent on response rates, number of sales, conversions or any other specific results of the projects/services.
  • Payments (deposits excluded) are due within 14 days of the submission of the invoice.  Late payments will incur a cumulative 2% late fee.  After the first 14 days, the late fee will be reassessed every 14 days until the balance is paid in full.

Project Details

  • Projects begin when deposit is received. The project deadline will be dated from the time a project commences.
  • Project acceptance: Clients must furnish all relevant material needed for project completion with the submission of the deposit.  Delaying the research and information gathering phase could push the deadline out on any project and cause additional delays.
  • Unless a client requests otherwise, all copy is produced using Microsoft Word and will be saved in a standard docx format.  Any variation may incur additional fees for processing.
  • All files will be transferred via E-mail.
  • We do not accept revisions of the drafts during the writing process.  Clients will have an opportunity to request revisions at the end of the process.  Doing so during can interrupt the flow of work.  Clients are welcome to send in requests for text amendment or insertion, but complete revisions are not permitted until the revision phase.
  • Clients receive 2 minor revisions provided those revisions are requested within 14 days of a completed final draft.  If the content is used in any way in a published manner, including the distribution or posting of the material, the revision period is closed.

Intellectual Property and Copyright

  • All content created by Thunder Bay Media is owned and copyrighted by Derek Cromwell.  All content remains as such until the client receives a completed Transfer of Content Ownership.  This form is released with the final draft to the client after final payment has been received.  Until complete payment is made, all work remains the copyright of Derek Cromwell

Privacy

  • We are steadfastly committed to guarding the privacy of our clients.
  • Documentation provided by our clients will, in no way, be shared with a party not affiliated with Thunder Bay Media without express commission from the client
  • While Thunder Bay Media may use general client information for portfolio purposes, no contact information for a client will ever be shared, including past or current project details, without prior consent (such as in the case of a direct reference)
  • We do not loan, give or sell the contact information of our clients.  Any information, including payment data, is stored securely and cannot be accessed through outside sources.
