What is Business Blogging

Business blogging is a method used by marketers, managers, executives and business organizations to share content with their industry and target audience.  It’s a form of content marketing where you provide information insight, information, news, solutions, data and more to keep your customers updated.

What makes business blogging different from just blogging in general?

Not much, actually.  The concept behind blogging is sharing a thought, opinion, solution, idea, etc.  Businesses can do the same in order to engage their audience and spark interest or solve customer problems.

Do I have to provide you with topics or information?

Whether we come up with the topics, or you provide them, it’s all the same.  The concept of managed business blogging is to free up your time though, and many businesses simply find it easier to let us research and develop the topics for them.

How do you develop content ideas for business blogging?

Through market, competitive and keyword research.  We locate the places your audience goes online for answers and information, we see how competitors are providing information and we look for trending topics based on keyword use.  We also work with you to tap into the most common questions your customers and clients have.  Using this information we can develop a plethora of topics for content marketing and business blogging.

What if I want you to write on a topic that comes up in my industry?

We develop a schedule based on the topics we uncover, but if you find a trending or important topic that needs to be addressed we can easily alter the schedule to help you ride the social buzz on new and trending topics.

How does business blogging generate income for my business?

Do you provide images for the blog posts?

We do provide stock photos for content.  If you have product or industry related images you would like us to use, we can attach them to the relevant blog posts.

Who maintains the blog, you or me?

We offer two different tiers for business blogging.  We can either create the content and let you post it or you can hire us for complete blog management where we write the content, post it, maintain your blog, include links, place photos, manage plugins, etc.  Each service has a different price structure.

Will the blog posts help with SEO?

Part of our content strategy involves keyword research.  We will optimize each post to maximize visibility, using keyword that are relevant to your internal landing pages.  This improves your internal link structure while the optimized blog posts have a higher chance of ranking well in the search engines.

Can I post to the blog, too?

Absolutely! It’s your blog, and you’re welcome to add content any time you like.

What kind of content will go into my blog?

The content we provide is written.  In addition, you can post video, audio, infographs and other information that you feel is relevant to your target audience.  You can also curate content from other sources when you find a particularly useful news piece that you want to share.

How will I know what kind of results I’m getting?

We recommend using plugins like Google Analytics across your site, including your blog.  You can use this tool to track incoming search terms, traffic volume, bounce rates, click through rates, opt-ins and more.

Do I have to make a commitment or contract?

No contract is required.  Business blogging is billed on a month to month cycle.  Customers who prepay beyond 1 month are given a discounted rate depending on the amount of the pre-pay and the number of posts ordered.
