Sto-Nor / Loxy
The Scenario – Sto-Nor has a product line known as Loxy, which provides a variety of seam sealing and reflective tapes to the garment industry (primarily safety garments). While Sto-Nor had a website, it was not optimized and despite the company being in business as a primary competitor of 3M for over 30 years, they had no more than one single order from their website in more than 15 years. Sto-Nor needed to update their website to improve their brand visibility, take some market share within the garment industry and establish their presence on the web.
The Solution – I reviewed the site content with the brand manager and discussed new strategies for the content, including targeted optimization of each sales and product page. In addition, to create the strongest level of growth in as short a time as possible, I helped their team develop a monthly content marketing campaign to include press releases, weekly blogging and article production. The project also included revision of the scripts for 6 different videos to be featured on the site.
With optimized content, stronger benefit statements and a new site design/architecture to improve conversions, the new site went live after just 60 days of research, planning and content production. Within 30 days of launch the website was showing on the first page of Google for several product keyword and primary phrases. Order requests were beginning to come through and the customer had received more than $70,000USD in business through the website in that first 30 day period.
Catering Equipment
The Scenario – A new provider of premium catering equipment was launching their product line and needed optimized content for every product. The goal was to ensure the site had measurable value without cookie cutter content among the products in light of the 2011 Google panda/farmer updates that hurt retail websites.
The Solution – Each product description was optimized appropriately with primary key phrases used for the main landing page of the site. In addition, a marketing ebook was written to inspire opt-ins on the auto-responder. In addition to discussing appropriate site content we developed an on and offsite content marketing strategy to boost the link profile and provided valued content to their target audience.
Within 2 weeks of the site going live, the client began receiving orders totaling several thousand USD with a number of subscribers to the email/marketing list. The site now ranks on page 1 of Google for a number of search terms and product listings.
Indigo Journeys
The Scenario – Our client wanted to increase her overall exposure and visibility for the booking services she provides covering the south pacific region. Her primary site focused on selling the agency but wasn’t optimized for any strategic terms. Most of the clients came from referrals or other marketing methods, not organic search.
The Solution – We created a number of landing pages on a separate niche site focusing on themed structures for the most popular destinations. Through onsite and optimized weekly blogging, landing page optimization, internal linking and a number of offsite content marketing campaigns we moved the site of Indigo Journeys to the top three pages of Google for several strategic key phrases over a period of 6 months. During that period, leads began to appear using the phone number provided as well as the opt-in form for a travel packet.
Borsa Handbags
The Scenario – Our client was referred to us by another satisfied client we helped in the past. She sold used handbags online and did all of her business through eBay with very little PPC campaigns on Facebook to push traffic to her listings. She wanted to overhaul her site to get sales through her website and focus less on eBay. When Borsa came to us, she had no optimized content and had virtually no presence in organic search.
The Solution – After consulting with our client, we recommend a revision of the entire site and suggested an optimization structure with targeted keywords in various sections of the site to bring in customers in different phases of the buy cycle. Once the content optimization was completed, we waited approximately 1 week to allow the content to be re-indexed. Upon checking the results, the site was showing on Page 1 of Google for 2 of the primary search terms and on page 2 to 4 for secondary search phrases. Within 60 days our client started to receive phone calls for orders from the website. We provided an additional two months of blogging services with consultation to train the client on how to maintain an optimized blog.
Adoptions Together
The Scenario - Adoptions Together came to me seeking a complete revision of their entire site. The primary goal was to improve visibility on the web for each individual division of their organization. Unfortunately each division was under a tight deadline to have the new site (with updated content and new design) done and operational in 30 days
The Solution – Adoptions together provided the base vision for each of the 40+ pages of site content as well as their ideal keywords. Over the 30 day period we worked through every requested page with some minor revisions and were able to provide the organization with operational copy within their requested deadline. Once live, the site was ranking on page 1 of Google for more than a dozen search terms. Local search (east coast) for almost every term brought the organization up on Page 1 with localized map listings, often at the top of the map pack.
