My name is Derek Cromwell.  I have a lot of things I love in life; my family, paintball, adventure and words – specifically copywriting.  Given the fact that you’re here, you’re probably considering hiring me.

Smart choice.

Actually after reading this, you may want to abduct me and keep me for yourself.  I’ve had clients threaten that much already. So why am I in such high demand?

My Unique Mission as a Copywriter

There is a terrible need and pressing urge for companies and copywriters to just get content out quickly.  There’s little consideration for the quality, and even less for the customer – it’s usually about the money.

Money is good, but I don’t really base my client decisions and production schedule on the money.  Integrity is as important to me as quality when it comes to content production and website copywriting… and neither can be compromised.

I also limit my client base, so when the schedule blocks are full the line starts forming for people willing to wait for my content. Those clients know my quality and trust in me because  I go the extra mile to do quality research.  I utilize a Dictionary and Thesaurus that my children can’t lift.  I actually still go to an underrated place called the Library when I want to dig into a topic for a client.

Understanding My Passion

I came from a background in Emergency Medicine.  I ran everything from the streets of Detroit to the rural back roads of northern Michigan (and a lot of terrain in between) in an ambulance.  After years of dealing with people getting hurt, burnt out on death and injured kids I opted for a career change.  I drew on this other God given talent to do amazing things with words (see there’s that tag line again, it must be true).  I’ve worked wonders with a lot of clients, and I’ll keep doing it until it’s just not fun anymore – so far I don’t foresee that happening.

Writing is a passion for me.  It’s an art, and a science.  I gain immense satisfaction from helping my clients get the copy that they need and even more satisfaction when that copy does things like produce top Google search results, double conversion rates, improve qualified leads and launch successful businesses.

So you understand the who, but what about the why?

I’m a copywriter because I love the power in the written word.  I never cease to be amazed at how a connection can be made between a company and a buyer through content alone.  I revel in it, and I enjoy being the pivotal point that makes it all work for my clients.

Clients come to me because they need a professional copywriter, but they succeed with me because they found something more than just a “professional”. They found a writer that can do amazing things with words.

You want content that sells your products, I deliver content that sells your entire company so that consumers are begging for your products

You want blog marketing that makes people understand your company, I write blog content that etches your credibility into stone and builds rapport that most companies only dream of.

You want site content that will help you place in the search engines, but I deliver content that is optimized for people first and search engines last.

Luckily for you the search engine algorithms love my work as much as my previous clients.

I dwell in the great state of Michigan in the Metro-Detroit area.  It is my office as well as my home.  I’ve given up a life in Emergency Medicine to produce content that delivers my clients to new heights both in site content and other content marketing with blogs, articles, press releases, eBooks and more.

I’m the father of 4 wonderful children and the only thing I love more than spending a day producing powerful, amazing copy for a client is rolling in a thunderous heap of laughter with my family.

I don’t care who you are, you can’t top that.
